Elliott to Lead Diversity, Inclusion and Equity at Cone Health
She takes a new position dedicated to diversity across Cone Health.
Kiva Elliott has been named vice president and chief diversity, inclusion and equity officer for Cone Health. In this newly created position, Elliott will lead and promote efforts that advance diversity at Cone Health.
Research shows that inclusive organizations have higher employee engagement and are better at fostering innovation by encouraging diverse points of view.
Paul Jeffrey has been leading diversity efforts in addition to his duties as president, Wesley Long Hospital and senior vice president, Cone Health. The creation of this new position allows a senior executive to be devoted full-time to this work. Jeffrey will continue in his role as president of Wesley Long and Cone Health senior vice president.
Elliott has been with Cone Health since 2011 when she provided counsel and direction to change management initiatives. Her most recent position was executive director, Talent Management. Elliott helped Cone Health attract, retain and develop high-performing employees.
Elliott earned a bachelor’s degree in mass communications from Winston-Salem State University and a master’s degree in organizational development from North Carolina A&T State University.
