Greensboro — Cone Health celebrates the grand opening of a new Panera location. The store opens in The Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital Atrium on Tuesday, July 16. It is owned by Covelli Enterprises, the largest franchisee of Panera Bread. This location features the latest Panera store model and will be the 20th Covelli-owned location in the North Carolina/Tennessee region.
Panera Bread at Moses Cone Hospital
The store was built as part of the Cone Health Women’s & Children’s Center project. The $100 million project will bring women’s services to Moses Cone Hospital from Women’s Hospital. The Panera Bread store is one of several food upgrades going on at the hospital.
This will be the first Panera in a hospital that is Covelli-owned in North Carolina. The location features convenient kiosk ordering and rapid pickup. This café will operate 6:00a.m. – 9:30p.m. Monday through Friday and 6:00a.m-7:30p.m. on the weekends.
As part of the grand opening, for every $5 gift card redeemed at the new Panera location before July 30, Panera will donate $1 to the Caring for Each Other Fund at Cone Health. The fund helps employees in crisis.
Covelli Enterprises acquired 15 Panera locations in North Carolina in May of 2017 and has since acquired several more cafés in the region, including 2 in Tennessee. The company has also relocated 2 existing locations, one in Winston-Salem and another in Clemmons, to be able to offer its customers the latest conveniences like drive-thrus and digital ordering kiosks.
