Woodmont Child Development Center Earns Five Stars
Staff quality gets credit for the top-level performance.
The Woodmont Child Center in Reidsville has been awarded five stars by the North Carolina Division of Child Development. The center was awarded the stars after a recent survey by the agency.
The agency awards stars based on how well a center meets childcare standards and the education and training of staff. Previously, Woodmont carried a four-star rating.
“Our parents will tell you that Woodmont is a terrific place for children. The move to five stars reinforces what we felt all along,” says Woodmont’s site manager, Ann Hughes Braja. “We have an exceptional staff that focuses on teaching our children each and every day.”
Woodmont is a joint program between Cone Health and Woodmont United Methodist Church, where it is housed. The center was established as a benefit for Annie Penn Hospital/Cone Health employees. It also serves children of church members and children from the community.
