Rockingham County COVID-19 Testing Site Moving

COVID-19 testing is moving to Annie Penn Hospital.

On September 2nd, the COVID testing site at 617 S. Main Street will close and move to the short stay covered drive at Annie Penn Hospital. The new testing site is set to open on September 3rd at 8 a.m. People seeking testing are asked to use the Maple Avenue entrance (525 Maple Ave.) to Annie Penn Hospital next to Penn Nursing Center. The changes are designed to protect test-seekers and staff from inclement weather.

The time the site is open will change as well. Beginning Sept. 7, the site will be closed Mondays, meaning testing will be done Tuesday – Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

What doesn’t change is that testing remains available to Rockingham County residents without a doctor’s order or appointment. People coming for testing should remain in their car, wear a mask and observe social distancing guidelines as appropriate. (Walk-ups are allowed.) A swab will be used to collect a sample and test results should be available in approximately 72 hours. Positive tests are reported to Rockingham County Health and Human Services.

Testing is for both adults and children.
