Cone Health Holds First In-Person Hiring Event Since Pandemic
The event at Alamance Regional Medical Center kicks off an employment drive.
The economic recovery has created demand for exceptional workers—especially in health care. Cone Health plans to continue filling positions with its first in-person hiring event since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
The job fair is being held tomorrow, Wednesday, July 14, 9 a.m.- 1 p.m., at Alamance Regional Medical Center. Job seekers are asked to use the Medical Mall entrance of the hospital at 1240 Huffman Mill Road, Burlington.
Cone Health has openings for registered nurses, nurse techs, information technology professionals and other positions at Alamance Regional and across the Cone Health network. The jobs are in a variety of medical units. Cone Health looks to hire 30 registered nurses and 50 nurse techs within the next 45 days.
“We’ve been very successful using virtual events to add people to the Cone Health team during the pandemic,” says LaVern Delaney, RN, MHA/MBA, chief nursing officer and vice president, patient care services, Alamance Regional. “But there is nothing like meeting the great people who work at Cone Health face to face. These in-person events allow applicants to do that.”
Anyone wanting to learn more about opportunities at Cone Health are invited to come. As the fair is being held in a health care facility, participants are asked to wear a mask. They will be screened and required to socially distance.
