Cone Health Named Employer of the Year
The health network was recognized for its work in providing jobs skills.
High school students with intellectual and developmental disabilities need skills to lead independent lives—especially job skills. Cone Health has been named “employer of the year” for its role in providing them.
Representatives of ARC presented the award to Preston Hammock, president of The Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital and hospital Guest Relations Director Vivian Langley. Cone Health provides mentorship and work opportunities to select high school students through Project Search.
Guilford County Schools teacher Tammy Maddox manages the day-to-day operations of Project Search at Moses Cone Hospital. She was named “Educator of the Year.”
