Pedaline receives Legacy Award
The honor is for her work in women’s and children’s health.
Sue Pedaline, DNP, has received the AWHONN North Carolina Section Legacy Award. AWHONN stands for the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses. The organization works to improve the health of women and newborns.
“I am honored to receive this recognition,” says Pedaline. “My entire career has focused on the health of women and children. I can think of no other place that shares this passion more than Cone Health.”
Pedaline is the chief nursing officer of The Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital and vice president of Cone Health Maternal-Child Services. She is previously an AWHONN state section chair. Pedaline has also served on the AWHONN national public policy committee.
“Dr. Pedaline elevates the care we provide every patient at Moses Cone Hospital,” says Cone Health Chief Nurse Executive, Kenneth Rempher, Ph.D. “Her commitment to her fellow nurses and to the profession of nursing is a high bar that we all strive to meet.”
The award “recognizes an individual’s significant, extraordinary contribution to the nursing profession, sustained over the course of their career.” According to the organization, “Sue is a professional contributor who encompasses all aspects of this award and has served selflessly to ensure optimal outcomes for women, newborns, nurses and her community.”
