Foundation Gives Care Packages to Families
The items provide comfort to those with infants with critical respiratory illnesses.
For the second consecutive year, the Taylyn Kate Foundation donated care packages to Cone Health Women’s & Children’s Center at Moses Cone Hospital. The items will be given to families of infants with critical respiratory illnesses.
Severe respiratory infections are a major concern for young children. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control, 58,000 children younger than 5 years old are hospitalized due to RSV infections.
The Taylyn Kate Foundation was created in memory of Taylyn Kate, who received her angle wings at 11 months due to complications with a respiratory illness. “In life everyone has a purpose,” says Tayron & Lynette Williams, Taylyn Kate’s parents and founder of the foundation. “We believe our purpose is to continue to breathe the love Taylyn Kate gave us, by giving to others who are experiencing the same difficult situation we once experienced . . . #WeBreatheLove.”
