Promotions at Cone Health
The following individuals have new responsibilities at Cone Health.
Greensboro – Aaron Saunders has been named executive director of Cone Health MedCenter Greensboro at Drawbridge Parkway. The 160,000 square-foot facility opens this spring.
Saunders joined the Cone Health Strategy & Planning team in 2008. He has worked on the Cone Health Ambulatory Network team for nearly 10 years, most recently as a director.
Saunders is a graduate of Appalachian State University and holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Elon University. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Samantha Vaughn, MSN, RN, has been promoted to nursing director for the children’s unit, the pediatric intensive care unit and the children’s emergency department at The Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital.

She is a certified pediatric nurse and joined Cone Health in 2015 and has lead staff at various locations working with children. She recently served as interim assistant director of the children’s emergency department.
Vaughn obtained her associates degree in nursing from Patrick Henry Community College, a Bachelor of Science in nursing degree from Winston-Salem State University, and a master’s in nursing leadership degree from East Carolina University.
