Becker’s Healthcare Says Adamolekun is a Chief People Officer to Know
The publication honors top human resources executives in health care.
Greensboro – Michelle Adamolekun, the executive vice president and chief people and culture officer for Cone Health, has been named a Chief Human Resources Officers and Chief People Officers to Know in 2025 by Becker’s Hospital Review, a leading national health care publication. 
Since joining Cone Health in 2021, Adamolekun has championed the evolution of our culture and development of its team to meet the needs of the communities Cone Health serves. She is a co-executive sponsor of our workforce developed for the future of value-based care and leads a team of human resources professionals in increasing employee recruitment and retention and developing its leaders, furthering Cone Health’s reputation as a great place to work.
Under her leadership, Cone Health became the state’s first health system to earn the Family Forward NC® certification and was included as on such lists as Newsweek’s Best Employers for Inclusion and Diversity and Best Employers for Women in 2025, as well as Forbes Best Employers for Women in 2024. Cone Health was recently recertified as a Great Place to Work®.
Adamolekun’s previous executive roles include Chief Human Resources Officer at Novant Health’s New Hanover Regional Medical Center and Regional Chief Human Resources Officer at Ascension Health, the nation’s largest Catholic and non-profit health system.
She was named to the Triad Business Journal’s Outstanding Women in Business list in 2024.
