Cone Health Brings Free Screenings to Fall Festival in Winston-Salem
Community event combines family fun with vital health services and wellness support.
Cone Health is working with St. Peter’s World Outreach Center and the YWCA of Winston-Salem to host a free fall wellness festival on Saturday, Oct. 25, from 5 to 8 p.m. The event will be held at St. Peter’s World Outreach Center, 3683 Old Lexington Road.
The festival offers more than seasonal fun; it’s a gateway to better health. While families enjoy hayrides, trunk-or-treat, food trucks, music, arcade games and basketball, Cone Health will provide free health screenings including blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol and dental checks. Flu vaccines will also be available. Attendees can also connect with the YWCA’s Gateway to Success program, a free three-year wellness initiative designed to support long-term health for eligible participants.
This event reflects Cone Health’s commitment to meeting people where they are by bringing care directly into the community. By combining entertainment with essential health services, the festival aims to reduce barriers to care and build stronger connections between families and long-term wellness resources.
Cone Health’s Mobile Health Unit will be there, staffed by clinical professionals offering screenings and guidance. The YWCA of Winston-Salem will provide information about its integrated wellness programming, which includes fitness, nutrition, mental health support and more.
