Cone Health Expands COVID-19 Vaccine Access for Children 

Vaccines are available for children and seniors. 

  

Cone Health now offers COVID-19 vaccines to children as young as 6 months old at select locations. 

  • Children aged 8 years and older can receive the vaccine at Moses Cone and Alamance Regional Community Pharmacy locations. 

  • All eight Cone Health Community Pharmacy locations offer vaccines to individuals 12 years and older
  • Children aged 6 months to 7 years can receive the vaccine at the Tim & Carolynn Rice Center for Child & Adolescent Health during special clinics on Oct. 20, 21 and 25. Appointments are required and can be made by calling 336-832-3150 during regular business hours.  

Cone Health will continue to offer the COVID-19 vaccine at the Rice Center to eligible children throughout the fall and winter during planned clinics, based on demand.  

Cone Health supports the American Academy of Pediatrics’ recommendation to vaccinate children against COVID-19, especially those at high risk of severe illness. These recommendations are based on scientific studies showing the vaccine’s safety and effectiveness in children.  

Insurance coverage: Most insurance plans, including Medicaid, are accepted. For those not eligible, Cone Health Community Pharmacy offers competitive pricing.
