Cone Health Names Chief Medical Officer for Alamance Regional Medical Center and Annie Penn Hospital
Dr. Eric Schuck brings decades of clinical and operational leadership to the role.

Cone Health has named Dr. Eric Schuck, as chief medical officer for the North and East Markets. Schuck will provide strategic leadership for medical staff and clinical quality at Alamance Regional Medical Center and Annie Penn Hospital.
Schuck brings more than 20 years of experience in pediatric medicine and health care leadership, including multiple chief medical officer roles across HCA Healthcare and Trinity Health systems. Recently, he served as regional chief medical officer for Trinity Health Georgia, where he led quality improvement efforts across three hospitals and helped drive a $22 million improvement in net operating income.
A veteran of the United States Air Force, Schuck has a track record of advancing clinical excellence, improving patient results and leading teams through transformational change. He has implemented Lean initiatives, reduced hospital-acquired infections and significantly improved physician engagement and patient satisfaction across multiple health systems.
Schuck earned his Doctor of Medicine from Emory University School of Medicine, completed his pediatrics residency at Wright State College School of Medicine, and holds an MBA with distinction from the University of Hertfordshire in Hatfield, England. He is board-certified in pediatrics.
