Cone Health Names SVP, President of Greensboro Market

Michael Bundy will lead two of the system’s hospitals.

Greensboro- Michael Bundy, MBA, joins Cone Health as senior vice president and president of the Greensboro market. In this role, Bundy provides leadership and oversight for The Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital and Wesley Long Hospital.

Bundy is an accomplished health care executive with more than 20 years of experience driving operational excellence, financial performance and culture transformation across complex health systems. Most recently, he served as the chief executive officer for Prisma Health’s Midlands Market – the largest nonprofit health care organization in South Carolina. In this role, Bundy provided fiscal oversight of more than $2.3 billion in net revenue, 10,000 team members and seven facilities, including four acute care and three specialty hospitals.

Before that, Bundy was senior vice president and chief operating officer for Cape Cod Healthcare, where he led major operational and financial improvement initiatives. He also held executive roles with MedAssets/Vizient Advisory Solutions, BVU Authority and Wellmont Health System.

A former U.S. Army officer, Bundy brings a disciplined and mission-driven leadership style to every role. He holds a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Business Economics from Tiffin University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from West Virginia University.
