Cone Health Names Vice President, Supply Chain
Chad Richard now leads the system’s supply chain operations.
Greensboro- Cone Health has named Chad Richard vice president, supply chain. In this new role, Richard will oversee purchasing, materials management, value analysis and contractual compliance. His leadership will support Cone Health in providing personalized care that improves health, prevents illness and lowers costs. 
From surgical pens to pacemakers, the Cone Health supply chain buys, stores, moves and tracks 56,000+ items. Richard will lead the team in making sure the right items get to the right patients right when they need them.
With more than 20 years of experience in health care supply chain leadership, Richard has a proven track record of driving operational efficiency, cost savings and innovation. He most recently served as vice president of supply chain at Prisma Health. Richard also held leadership roles at Greenville Health System, Iredell Memorial Hospital and Carolinas Healthcare System (now Atrium Health.)
He holds an MBA from Gardner-Webb University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina-Charlotte. Richard is a Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP) and an active member of several industry organizations.
