Cone Health Names VP, Administrator, Behavioral Health Services

Dave Jenkins now leads the system’s behavioral health hospital and service line.

 

Greensboro- Cone Health has promoted Dave Jenkins to vice president and administrator of behavioral health services. In this expanded role, Jenkins will oversee operations at the Cone Health Behavioral Health Hospital and lead behavioral health initiatives across the health system.  Dave Jenkins

Jenkins started with Cone Health as a hospital administration intern in 2012. Over the past decade, he has held a variety of leadership roles of increasing responsibility, including positions at Wesley Long Hospital, Cone Health Medical Group, and across service lines such as bariatrics, clinical dietetics, diabetes education and sleep disorders. His commitment and strategic leadership led to his promotion as executive director of behavioral health services in 2022.

A senior enlisted leader in the United States Air Force with more than 25 years of service, Jenkins brings a wealth of operational experience and a mission-driven approach to health care leadership.

Jenkins holds an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, a master’s degree from Slippery Rock University, and a bachelor’s degree from UNC-Asheville. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) and a Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE).

Jenkins’ promotion reflects Cone Health’s dedication to advancing behavioral health services to meet the growing needs of the communities it serves.
