Greensboro – Cone Health Chief Marketing & Communications Officer Chuck Wallington, Ph.D., is being recognized as an Industry Legend by The Diversity Action Alliance. The recognition takes place Wednesday, Sept. 17, during the organization’s annual G.E.M.S. Honors Reception: Purpose in Action in New York City.

Created to close a long-standing gap in inclusive leadership and equity, the G.E.M.S. Honors recognizes communications leaders whose work transforms their organizations and the industry. “Industry Legend,” is in recognition of an enduring legacy and career marked by excellence, advocacy and impact.

He was the first African American at Cone Health to hold the role of executive vice president. Wallington plays an integral role in shaping the strategic vision of Cone Health as a member of the organization’s most senior leadership team.
