Three Cone Health hospitals are recognized as high performing in 17 procedures and conditions.
Greensboro—Several Cone Health hospitals have been named in U.S. News & World Report’s 2025-2026 Best Hospitals edition as High Performing in areas of hospital care that people most likely need. High Performing is the highest distinction a hospital can earn as part of U.S. News’ Best Hospitals Procedures & Conditions ratings. Cone Health hospitals were also named as the top hospital in the Greensboro/Winston-Salem Metro Area.
Top ranked hospitals often have better survival rates, fewer complications and usually follow the latest research-based guidelines for care. U.S. News’ annual Procedures & Conditions ratings are designed to help patients and their health care providers make informed decisions about where to receive care for challenging health conditions or elective procedures.
“The best health care is the care that keeps you healthy,” says Dr. Valerie Leschber, Cone Health Chief Medical Officer. “But it's great to know that when you need it, nationally ranked hospital care is as close as Cone Health.”
