Cone Health Behavioral Health Hospital Earns New Award
National award recognizes measurable gains in access, quality and results.
Greensboro - Cone Health Behavioral Health Hospital has been named a Best Clinical Program in Signet Health’s 2025 Excellence in Advocacy Awards. The national awards span six categories and drew 18 program nominations.
The Behavioral Health team helped patients move through care more smoothly. They worked together more effectively and made their daily work simpler. This helped patients go home sooner and allowed the team to care for more people each day.
Clinical performance stayed strong throughout 2025. Restraint and seclusion rates for adult and adolescent patients at the Behavioral Health Hospital were better than state and national benchmarks. Pain management scores reached 94% for adults and 100% for adolescents. The Behavioral Health team exceeded Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and Premier benchmarks across all hospital‑based inpatient psychiatric services measures, with increased participation in therapeutic groups.
“Cone Health Behavioral Health Hospital is privileged to participate in the Signet Health national network. The improvements in quality care, patient outcomes and community impact reflect the intentional efforts of our exceptional nursing, provider, case management and support services teams,” said Dave Jenkins, VP, Administrator, Behavioral Health Services. “Our partnership with Signet Health enhances our ability to live out Cone Health’s purpose, vision and values each day. The team here is doing extraordinary work, and they have truly earned this recognition.”
“Every day, our teams across the country advocate for patients, families and communities in powerful and meaningful ways,” said Joy Figarsky, president and CEO of Signet Health. “These award recipients exemplify what’s possible when compassion, innovation and accountability come together, and we are proud to recognize their exceptional impact. This was a highly competitive year with many outstanding nominations.”
Signet Health plans on‑site celebrations with award recipients during the first quarter of 2026.
