Greensboro –  Dr. Kardie Tobb, a Cone Health cardiologist and prominent advocate for women's heart health, has been named the 2026 RISE Health Care Hero Award recipient. Tobb is widely recognized for her work to empower women to understand their risk for heart disease, which is the leading cause of death of women. She is dedicated to expanding access to preventive cardiovascular care. Her clinical leadership, community outreach and education initiatives help reduce barriers that prevent women, including women of color, from receiving timely and lifesaving treatment.

"I am humbled and honored to receive this award," said Tobb. "This work is incredibly important because too many women continue to face preventable risks. I am grateful for the opportunity to help more women understand their heart health and to support greater access to the care they deserve."

RISE features Tobb across its website, social channels and conference programming.
