“[Our son] counts down the days until ninja class, and he loves the zip line and rock wall!” his mother says. “As parents, we love that he’s learning how to follow directions, wait his turn, associate exercise with fun and make new friends.”

Greensboro— Mallory Goodman and her husband, David, consider exercise a part of everyday life. Thanks to joining Sagewell in May 2024, they’ve been able to extend that love of movement to their 5-year-old son, Dallas, through the Play! program.

“Dallas counts down the days until ninja class, and he loves the zip line and rock wall!” Mallory says. “As parents, we love that he’s learning how to follow directions, wait his turn, associate exercise with fun and make new friends.”

Mallory says Sagewell stood out to her family because of the activities for kids of all ages. The Goodmans are a blended family with seven children, with ages ranging from 5 to 26, and there is something for everyone at Sagewell.

“Whether it's nutrition education, family activity in the gym and pools, exercise classes, we use the pharmacy for its convenience, the Play! program for Dallas' physical health or educational information in the hallways, our family is surrounded by positive experiences around our health,” she says.

As for what Mallory would tell other families looking to join a gym in the Greensboro area? “I’d strongly encourage them to be members at Sagewell because it's not a typical gym, it’s a place for our family to be in community,” she says.
