Laugh and Learn Offers Play-Based Learning for Infants and Caregivers

Monthly program blends expert guidance with fun for the youngest learners

Greensboro – Cone Health Alamance Regional Medical Center is offering a fun, interactive play and education session designed for children from birth to age 2 and their caregivers called  Laugh and Learn.

The program will be held on the first Tuesday of each month beginning June 2, from 10 to 11 a.m., in the Wobble & Roll Area of the Children’s Museum of Alamance County, located at 217 S. Main Street in Graham.

Laugh and Learn provides a relaxed, play-based environment where young children can explore while caregivers connect with pediatric therapy experts from Cone Health Alamance Regional Medical Center. Participants will have the opportunity to meet a pediatric occupational therapist and a speech therapist, ask questions, and gain practical ideas to support early development.

During each session, Cone Health therapists will share:

  • Simple, fun ways to interact and play with young children
  • Ideas for toys and activities that support development
  • Tips to encourage bonding, social skills, and communication
  • Insight into sensory processing and how it can affect behavior and sleep
  • How play helps build early language and communication skills

“Play is one of the most powerful ways infants and toddlers learn about the world,” said Cone Health spokesperson Seth Coynor, DO, FAAP.” These sessions are designed to support caregivers while helping children build a strong foundation for growth and development.”
