Mooresville and Cone Health to Open Health Center
A Cone Health Clinic is a new benefit for town employees, retirees, and dependents.
Greensboro – Cone Health will care for employees, retirees, and families of the Iredell County Town of Mooresville. The Employee Care Center (ECC) is opening at 435 E. Statesville Ave. The clinic will provide primary care, preventative care and work-related care (drug tests, screenings) in a single, convenient location.
Cone Health Employer Health & Wellness Solutions puts an emphasis on value-based care. It encourages preventative care through screenings and offers classes and events that focus on a range of topics, from healthy eating to exercise to the management of chronic conditions such as diabetes.
The ECC will open Monday through Friday at 435 E. Statesville Ave. It will be staffed by a team of expert health care providers.
“As we continue to refine our focus on Operational Excellence, the new ECC will support our goal of retaining current employees and attracting new, talented candidates to join our team to meet and exceed the needs of the organization so that we may, in turn, work to provide exceptional service to our community,” says Mooresville Town Manager Tracey Jerome. “We are pleased to partner with Cone Health, and we are confident that this proactive approach to long-term health and well-being will be a real benefit for our team and for our community.”
The Employee Care Center’s services are in addition to the benefits already offered to Mooresville team members such as health, life, dental, vision and prescription drug benefits.
“Like the rest of us, governments and businesses are concerned about the high cost of health care, says Dr. Angela Bacigalupo, supervising physician for Cone Health Employer Health & Wellness Solutions clinics. “Prevention works but only if it is convenient and affordable. Employer-based clinics, such as the Employee Care Center, are a great way to bring high-quality, affordable care to employees and their families."
