Dr. Valerie Leschber and Bev Cleveland will bring innovative ideas and leadership to their work in the Cone Health network.

GREENSBORO– Two Cone Health leaders have completed a rigorous training program, learning skills that will help advance the health care system’s mission to provide excellent care to the communities it serves.

Dr. Valerie Leschber, chief medical officer, Cone Health, and Bev Cleveland, chief financial officer, Cone Health Medical Group, completed The Academy GE Fellows Program. The two-year fellowship provides high-potential health care executives with the tools necessary to take on senior executive positions in leading health systems.

Leschber completed the CMO Fellowship, Cleveland completed the Finance Executive Fellowship, and both completed the inaugural MHA Program. The leaders gained essential health care knowledge, leadership skills and business acumen that will benefit the entire Cone Health system.

“Valerie Leschber and Bev Cleveland showed an unwavering commitment to completing this program while simultaneously leading our community through the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Mandy Eaton, chief operating officer, Cone Health. “Their efforts reflect the commitment of Cone Health’s leadership to pursue growth that will enhance the excellent care we provide to the people and communities we serve.”
