Cone Health’s Women’s & Children’s Center Turns 2
The maternity care center at Moses Cone Hospital has delivered thousands of babies since its doors opened in 2020.
Greensboro – Cone Health wishes the Women’s & Children’s Center at The Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital a happy 2nd birthday.
The state-of-the-art maternal unit has already delivered thousands of babies in the Piedmont Triad, despite the challenges of an ongoing pandemic. Since opening its doors on Feb. 23, 2020, Women’s & Children’s Center has delivered more than 11,000 babies.
“We are very proud of our team and their resilience in bringing their exceptional care to the new building and navigating the pandemic at the same time over the past two years,” said Sue Pedaline, chief nursing officer, Moses Cone Hospital. “We are hopeful for a brighter future and continuing to care for our community’s families.”
Women’s & Children’s Center offers a family-centered design with dozens of rooms devoted to maternity and women’s care services. The 195,000-square-foot facility includes 45 private Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) rooms, a dedicated entrance and valet parking.
