Second Cone Health Urgent Care Coming to Winston-Salem

Cone Health Urgent Care at West Edge opens early 2025.

Greensboro--Cone Health plans to open its next urgent care center in Winston-Salem. Cone Health Urgent Care at West Edge should open in the West Edge Shopping Center at 5535 Robin Lark Circle early next year. It is the second Cone Health urgent care in Winston-Salem. Cone Health Urgent Care at Burke Mill Village opened earlier this year.

“This continues our strategy of bringing exceptional health care to the consumer, by being in places they are familiar with and frequent often,” says Senior Vice President, Ambulatory & Consumer Services, Deno Adkins. “And urgent care centers are very convenient for today’s consumer.”

The nearly 3,300-sq.-ft. facility will initially open 7 days a week, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The hours and staffing will change as patient volumes increase. Cone Health Urgent Care at West Edge will have traditional urgent care services and include x-ray and basic lab services onsite.

Urgent care centers are ideal for treating ailments that aren’t severe enough for an emergency department visit, and when the person can’t get a timely doctor’s appointment. Typical reasons for an urgent care visit include:

Allergies

Ear and eye infections

Headaches and migraines

Minor bone fractures

Cough, cold, or flu

Minor burns, cuts and rashes

Sinus infections
