Cooking for the Mediterranean Diet 2 is an engaging, hands-on class designed for those who want to deepen their understanding of the Mediterranean way of eating . This class focuses on practical skills and real-world application.
We will prepare a variety of dishes inspired by Mediterranean traditions and will learn how to adapt everyday favorites following the guidelines for this way of eating. Through guided instruction participants will explore ingredient substitutions, flavor boosting techniques, and meal-planning ideas that make Mediterranean cooking both accessible and enjoyable.
You will leave having prepared and eaten a meal a new way, and with the knowledge to revise your favorite recipes to support your long-term wellness.
This class is held in the Teaching Kitchen at MedCenter Greensboro at Drawbridge Parkway. When you enter the building walk straight back, past the Grab and Go Cafe'. We are the next set of large double glass doors on your left.
Each week we will prepare a Mediterranean Diet dish . Here is what we will be cooking:
Week 1, April 21th: Tuscan Pan Sauteed Chicken with Lemon, Garlic and Veggie Couscous.
Week 2, April 28: Basil, Shrimp and Tomato Whole Wheat Pasta with Feta Cheese
Week 3, May 5: Curried Cauliflower and Chickpea Tacos
Week 4, May 12: Salmon Patties on a Whole Wheat Bun with Carrot and Cabbage Slaw with Raisins and Walnuts
