IMPORTANT NOTICE:

In keeping with CDC recommendations, and out of an abundance of caution, wherever possible Cone Health will be postponing or cancelling in-person group gatherings or converting them to a virtual format.

In light of this policy, the Power Over Parkinson’s Group is currently meeting virtually via Zoom.

Active Man ShadowThis group is designed to help people recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease learn how to empower themselves to live better. This group provides information about how Parkinson’s disease affects you as an individual, how to proactively take control of Parkinson’s disease, steps to manage your Parkinson’s disease, along with education and exercise for lifelong activity.

This group meets on the first Wednesday of each month from 2 to 3:30 p.m. via Zoom.

Research has demonstrated that those with Parkinson’s who exercise regularly for 2.5 hours a week had less of a decline in mobility and quality of life. We are pleased to offer several online exercise opportunities for those living with Movement Disorders.
