Your Rights and Protections Against Surprise Medical Bills
Beginning January 1, 2022, when you get emergency care or get treated by an out-of-network provider at an in-network hospital or ambulatory surgical center, you are protected from surprise billing or balance billing. Learn more
Changes to NC Medicaid
New NC Medicaid plans took effect on July 1, 2021. This means your new NC Medicaid health plan is responsible for healthcare you receive.
