Physician Leadership Academy

Physician Leadership AcademyCone Health Physician Leadership Academy is an innovative approach to developing our own physician leadership talent and leading health system quality improvements. During this 11-month, five-session program, you’ll enhance your skills in eight key areas:

  • Setting and achieving goals
  • Giving and receiving feedback
  • Working across organizational boundaries
  • Learning through others
  • Building and mending relationships
  • Managing change
  • Gaining self-insight to address your weaknesses and build on your strengths

Academy Impact

Physicians have made a measurable impact as a graduates of our academy. Thirty-two percent of alumni are now in formal leadership positions at Cone Health. Patient satisfaction scores have also increased for participating physicians. From 2012 to 2020, ratings rose 9.2% for academy graduates.
