Course Registration Information

Cone Health employees will register using the online form below. Please read registration instructions thoroughly and complete all necessary steps.

Classes fill very quickly, often 2-3 months before the class date. Register as early as possible. VIEW AGENDA

Complete These Steps For Traditional 8am-5pm Classes

  • Select a class and complete registration information.
  • Obtain the PALS Provider Manual. Read/review material to prepare for class.
  • Complete the self-assessment test by going to https://elearning.heart.org/course/427. A score of 70 must be achieved before you can attend class. Print the final page and bring to class.
  • Cannot attend without pre-test!
  • All students must have current AHA Healthcare Provider card or Red Cross BLS card!!!

Online Option

Complete These Steps to Complete Red Cross PALS Online courses with hands-on skills sessions on Red Cross Manikins:

  • All employees with PALS expirations will automatically be assigned the online Red Cross PALS course. 
  • Use the Red Cross PALS register for skills check-off assignment in the course catalog on HLC to enroll in a 30 min hands-on session after completing online course.

Cone Health Staff Members

  • Select a class from the schedule and register here.
    (Note: If you get an error using Citrix, try registering outside of Citrix.)
  • Be sure to include all information requested on form to prevent your registration from being delayed.

  • Within one week of receipt, you will receive a confirmation of registration in your HLC (Healthstream Learning Center) under "Scheduled Classes". You will not receive a confirmation email.

  • Important instructions for class will be found in the notes section.(Please read carefully!)

Community Healthcare Providers

All community participants must print and mail registration information.

  • Download and print the registration form.
  • Complete all sections.
  • Mail registration form, a copy of your current AHA or Red Cross BLS Provider card and a $360 check made payable to Cone Health (includes class, textbook, and card) to:

  • Upon receipt of registration form, you should receive a confirmation email within 1-2 weeks.

Continuing Education Credit / Contact Hours

Cone Health Training Center does not award Contact Hours for either renewal or initial PALS courses.

Cancellations / Date Change for Registration

If you need to cancel your attendance, we require advance notice prior to the class in order to not be considered a "no-show".
