Farmers Markets
One of the best things about living in NC is the rich harvest of fresh fruits and vegetables coming in from the farm. The fresh and flavorful taste cannot be beat, but also the nutrition quality of locally-grown, seasonal foods far exceeds that of foods that have travelled for weeks by boat and truck to show up in our local supermarkets. Take advantage of the abundance of seasonal foods available in your county by visiting a farmer's market near you! See the tables below for locations, visit Got to Be NC or download the Visit NC Farms app which shows farmer's markets statewide.
Also, try planning your purchases and meals around What's In Season throughout the year!
Additionally, Cone Health has partnered with Martin's Ponderosa Farm to provide onsite farmer's markets at the following locations each week during the months of April - November. Come check out their seasonal selections and shop conveniently at work!
