Peripheral Artery Disease Conditions that Benefit

Your doctor may recommend Supervised Exercise Therapy (SET) if you’re having pain while walking caused by known Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD).

  • Symptomatic Claudication with or without previous intervention
  • Having pain while walking from the buttocks, thighs and/or calves

Individualized For You

Partner with our rehab team to set goals and create a plan of care customized to your needs. At Cone Health, we start with an assessment of current needs and baseline walking. Staff will review your results to develop an individualized protocol after assessments. You’ll receive specialized attention and support from staff and your peers in our group classes.

What Happens in Supervised Exercise Therapy

You’ll attend supervised exercise therapy three times a week (can be up to five days a week)

  • Closely monitored exercise in small group setting primarily on treadmill
  • Nutrition counseling is available
  • Education sessions on risk factor modification, exercise and stress management
  • Tobacco cessation counseling
