Q: What age would you recommend to have this conversation?

A: There is no specific age to start these conversations, as each child is different. However, you will want to start having conversations about how the body changes with puberty, which can happen as early as 8 years old. From there, conversations can continue to include why our bodies change during puberty and how those changes are related to fertility. This may lead to conversations about sexual health, healthy relationships, birth control, and STI risk reduction.
