Race Information and FAQs
All advance registrations must be completed online. Advanced printed registration forms are no longer accepted. Those who do not want to register online are welcome to come to on-site registration the evening before the race and on race morning.

- Saturday, Oct. 6, 7:30-8:30 a.m.
T-shirts cannot be guaranteed for those registering on-site.
The race event, registration and all related activities will be based at Women's Hospital at 801 Green Valley Road, Greensboro, NC.

9:30 a.m. - Women's Only 5K Walk & Run
Starting Line Location and Details
The starting line for the Women's Only 5K Walk & Run will be at the intersection of Green Valley Road and Lendew Avenue.
- All participants must cross the start line. To receive an official race time, participants must cross the finish line.
- Runners will line up on the LEFT side of Green Valley Road and will line up according to their estimated pace time.
- Walkers will line up on the RIGHT side of Green Valley Road or behind runners.
- Runners/Walkers with Strollers will line up BEHIND the runners on the appropriate side of the road. If participants are running for time, there is a designated stroller lane to the far left of the Runner's Start area.
Finish Line Location / Post-Race Refreshments
The finish line is near the start line. Post-race refreshments will be available once you cross the finish line. Water is also available on the course.
All Women's Only 5K registrations include chip timing. The chip is on your BIB and you must wear a chip to qualify for awards. Participants must wear their race numbers on the front of their shirts.
There will be a $10 fee to replace bib #’s that are lost or forgotten on race day.
Race Day Activities
The Women's Expo will be featured on race day. A continental breakfast buffet and will help you get ready for the race. These programs will be going on throughout the entire event, from 7:30 to 11 a.m. The Girl's Only mini-run will take place at 8:15 a.m. Don't miss Jazzercise to get you warmed up at 8:30 a.m. All event activities will be located at the Women's Hospital Education Center parking lot.
Park at the Cone Health Administrative Services Building, 721 Green Valley Road, located at the corner of Lendew Avenue and Green Valley Road.
Awards will be given for the following race winners:
- Overall - 1st-3rd places
- Masters (for women 40 and older) - 1st-3rd places
- Age group awards - 1st-3rd places
NCAA guidelines are observed for Amateur status race winners.
Monetary awards are not provided.
The 5K course is USATF certified.
How far is five kilometers?
5K is 3.1 miles.
Will there be mile splits?
There will be markers at each mile, and volunteers will announce the 1st and 2nd mile split times.
Preliminary results will be posted at the race site immediately following the race. Official results will be available on this site by 4 p.m. on race day.
Official Charity Cause
The Mammography Scholarship Fund and the Alight Program are the recipients of the registration proceeds. All proceeds provide free mammograms for women in Guilford County who are uninsured and ineligible for Medicare or Medicaid, as well as educational, emotional and financial support during treatment.
Portable Restroom Locations
Restroom facilities will be conveniently located near the start and finish line and along the race course.
Minimum Age Requirements
Women's Only 5K Walk & Run - Ages 7 and older (Ages 7-12 must be accompanied by an adult participant.)
Girls' Only Mini-Walk & Run (200 Yards) - Ages 3 and under
Girls' Only Mini-Walk & Run (400 Yards) - Ages 4-6
Can I walk the course?
Yes, both walkers and runners are welcome. You must be registered and wear a racing bib on the front of your shirt.
Can I push a stroller?
For safety reasons, walkers and runners with strollers are asked to use a designated side lane. For safety reasons, girls younger than 7 years old are not permitted on the 5K course unless in a stroller.
Can I bring my pet?
No dogs or other pet animals will be allowed at the event.
Are roller blades or bikes allowed on the course?
For safety reasons we do not permit roller blades or bicycles on the course.
What is the weather cancellation policy?
It is our policy to proceed with the race unless there is active lightning or the City of Greensboro closes the course. In the event of a cancellation, the race entry fee is considered a donation to the Mammography Scholarship Fund.
If you are not participating in the event, consider being a volunteer. If you want to participate and volunteer, there are opportunities for both. No experience is required. All volunteers will receive orientation on-site and a race volunteer T-shirt.
