All patients who are concerned about medical emergency should go to the nearest ER or call 911.
The following list is not all-inclusive.
- Active bleeding
- Abdominal pain
- Broken bones
- Coughing, vomiting blood
- Chest pain
- Deep cuts/lacerations
- Difficulty breathing
- Elderly patient with fall or new weakness
- Intense abdominal pain
- Loss of consciousness
- Prescription refill for chronic pain or illness
- Seizures
- Sexually transmitted disease concerns
- Suicidal thoughts
- Stroke symptoms, including sudden arm or leg weakness and facial drooping
- Uncontrollable bleeding
- Unexpected vision change
