All patients who are concerned about medical emergency should go to the nearest ER or call 911.

The following list is not all-inclusive.

  • Active bleeding
  • Abdominal pain
  • Broken bones
  • Coughing, vomiting blood
  • Chest pain
  • Deep cuts/lacerations
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Elderly patient with fall or new weakness
  • Intense abdominal pain
  • Loss of consciousness
  • Prescription refill for chronic pain or illness
  • Seizures
  • Sexually transmitted disease concerns
  • Suicidal thoughts
  • Stroke symptoms, including sudden arm or leg weakness and facial drooping
  • Uncontrollable bleeding
  • Unexpected vision change
